But we’ve been sweating while you slept so calm, In the safety of your home. We’ve been pulling out the nails that hold up Everything you’ve known.
If she had wanted a change of scenery, this was the perfect place to come. Bell Lake, and everything around it was the exact opposite of living in Chicago, that was for sure. Nothing was the same. There wasn't sky scrapers, smog, people getting shot, it just didn't happen here, or at least it didn't seem to happen. She hadn't even seen a drug deal. She had become quite an expert on knowing what was a drug deal, and what was really just a hand shake and a friendly hug.
She liked it here, she liked it a lot more than Chicago. Her past rested in Chicago, her past nightmares and the childhood she wouldn't revisit anytime soon. Bell Lake allowed her a place to become someone new, open up her possibilities, and that was exactly what she was doing here at the camp. Of course, she was in town right now, she wasn't at the camp, but being allowed to attend the camp was opening a whole new door in her life. She could finally pursue her dancing and perfect her style. She wasn't a ballerina that pranced around in tu-tu's, or a jazz dancer, she was a street dancer. She danced from her heart and to the beat of the music.
The park was nearly vacant, excuse the stray cat or wandering bird. There seemed to be not one other person in the park with her. A water bottle in her hand, a zune in her pocket, she was at peace. It was nearly four o'clock, most would be at home cooking supper, or getting home from work. It was fine with her to be alone. A fallen tree caught her attention as she walked down the vagrant concrete walk way. Veering off the beaten path, she headed towards the tree. She walked around it, looking at it, and then stepped on it, making sure it wasn't rotten, which she was glad to inform, it wasn't.
Annaleese had always had a passion for dancing, and in the recent years it had intensified. She danced to keep herself sane. It was the music that kept her down to earth, and the dancing the kept her mind in place. She set the water bottle down on the tree and tightened the gloves on her hand. She wore fingerless leather gloves often when practicing outside, it kept her from harming herself, which she seemed to do often. The cargo pants she had on only fell just past her knees, and the blue tank top hugged her slim form.
Putting her arms up in the air, Annaleese leaned over into handstand, stretching her legs far above the rest of her body. She held the position for a few seconds, before falling back to the ground and landing back on her feet. Dancing wasn't just her passion, gymnastics was as well, though it came after dancing every time. She flipped her hair and pulled it all together into a messy bun at the back of her head. Her bangs fell over her eyes still, but they didn't get in her way much. Instead of a handstand, she tried a cartwheel this time. In the air, one of her shoes fell off and tumbled to the ground, but she managed to land without slipping.
Tugging the shoe back on, she turned the music up and stretched out her limbs with a few quick gymnastics moves. She was getting bored, so standing there on the tree, she pulled the zune out of her pocket and began searching through her songs. She gave up finally, and shuffled them. Spin by Taking Back Sunday came on. It wasn't exactly a dancing kind of song but she could dance to anything given a beat. She jumped off the tree where she stood perched and listened to the introduction of the song. She had been dancing long enough not to be embarrassed if someone watched her dancing alone. She hadn't completely aced the art of break dancing, not yet at least. And with the first of the words, she started dancing.

Inhale. The puffy white clouds moved almost rapidly across the bright blue sky. The day was perfect. The bi-polar park was having a good day and everything was just beautiful. It was day like these that Bell Lake was the most perfect town in the world. Not just the United States, but the whole freaking world. Exhale.
Dallas's brown eyes shut; the big clouds no longer blowing across his line of vision. They were replaced with darkness; the back of his eyelids were not as pleasing to the eye as the clouds in the sky. Taking another deep breath, Dallas could not help but open his eyes. He was unwilling to waste one second of this beautiful day by closing his eyes.
But then again, he was just to damn tired. He also had a head ache; one of those really bad headaches that he always got the morning after he had been out drinking. Thinking back on the previous night, he kind of regretted it. No, he hadn't done anything that he hadn't done before. He had just spent the night in his hotel room with a bottle of Jack Daniels that had been bought with his uncle's money. Dallas was getting tired of his late night drinking; however, he knew that come the evening, he'd make a quick run down to the liquor store.
Dallas was just about ready to let his eyes sink shut, but something caught his eye. Or rather someone. An upside down person? No alcohol this morning. So why was he seeing this.
With a slight groan, he rose from the grass in which he was laying. Blink. His eyes were not deceiving him; he was, in fact, looking at an upside down girl. He tilted his head watching her do all sorts of interesting things with her body. He smirked as he continued to watch her silently.
He leaned back on his hands as he watched her dance around the park. She had to be a camper; no local had that much talent. Instead of saying anything, he decided to wait until she was done dancing. He couldn't bring himself to interrupt her because, to be quite frank, her dancing was beautiful.

I'm blind and shakin' Bound and breaking I hope I make it through all these changes Annaleese was having a great time. It was the first time she had really let herself go and open up. She's been so tense the past few days, she was new around the camp and she hadn't really settled in. This was her first time actually exploring the town. Well she wouldn't call it exploring, she had stopped at the park and obviously hadn't left yet. She was dancing for fun, she wasn't dancing to train right now, she just needed air, space to breath. It was dancing that allowed her to do so.
She hooked her hand together above her head and spun them around. When they went left, her hips went right and she spun in a circle. A smile blossomed on her face, showing her white teeth. The ball of hair on top of her head swung with the rhythm of her body, the elastic slipping ever so slightly tossing strands of loose hair into her face. The song on her zune changed to Just Dance by Lady Gaga, what a good song. The music had a techno beat she didn't usually like, but the song just drew her in. She was normally the rock metal kind of girl.
She was laughing now, having a great time. She didn't care if anyone saw her, she was pretty sure that nobody was around anyways. As she was twirling she looked around at the world passing by her. As she twirled she moved around, she wasn't as close to the tree as she had began with, actually she wasn't sure where it was anymore. She didn't bother with thinking about that though. As she turned more and more, she became slightly dizzy, but it made her more giddy. Something caught her eye though, and as she looked closer she saw someone watching her. Sure she wasn't embarrassed but it caught her off guard.
Paired with the dizzying mental state she was in, seeing someone set her off balance and she stumbled. Her body still willed to turn and she ended up flat on her butt. A small squeak passed her lips as she landed on the ground harder than expected. Her bangs fell in front of her face and she blew her breath upward, tossing her bands into the air but they fell back down in front of her eyes again. Brushing off her gloved hands she pushed her bangs out of her face, now where had the person gone? She knew she had seen someone.

The sun was shining down on him, warming him and making him feel rather upbeat; the sun was also helping to dissolve that wretched headache.. On top of that, there was that dancing girl. Just watching her twist and turn and dance made a smile spread over his thin lips. He wanted to join her, but he dared not interrupt her, for fear that she would get angry, or worse, embarrassed. So instead of standing up to dance with her, he just remained a spectator, trying to be inconspicuous.
Too late. Their gazes locked for a split second. Heat rose to his face; he felt like he had been caught doing something horrible, although that wasn't the case. He watched as she seemed to lose her balance and fall down. He frowned still feeling really bad.
After a moment to gather himself, he stood up quickly to go and apologize. The rapid rising caused the blood to rush to his head, making him feel dizzy also. However, he regained his composure quickly and made his way over to the mysterious girl.
As he approached her from behind, Dallas morphed into the cool Dallas. Putting a cocky grin on his face, he stood behind her. I liked it, he said still grinning. Especially the ending, he added with a little chuckle. He sank to the ground so that he was sitting beside her.
Now that he was sitting next to her and she wasn't dancing around, he was able to get a better look at her. Overall, she was a really pretty girl. Her hair was a shiny black so he couldn't tell if it was dyed, it was also cut very cutely. His brown eyes looked at her face and her clothing; he was just studying her, not judging her. He simply liked her style.
Sorry for watching you, he said as he stretched his legs out in front of him. I hope it didn't bother you, he added, his eyes now staring at his Vans. He honestly was sorry, no matter how cocky he seemed. I'm Dallas, he said after a few moments. He angled himself towards her and extended his hand to be polite.
NOTES ;; Sorry it's a bit choppy; it's not my best. *Shrugs* It's up to you if they're friends.
