Hello! Welcome to Broken Photographs in our little corner of the World Wide Web! BR is a literate, advanced role play where we expect around 3 paragraphs + per post. The site is a present Harry Potter role play with a twist; Lord Voldemort never was and so Harry was brought up by his parents and several lives were saved. However that doesn't mean life is golden there are still several

the year is 1996 and harry potter is in his sixth year at hogwarts school of whichcraft and wizardry. however he is not the chosen one, neither does he have a lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead. all because merope gaunt didn't get to the orphanage in time, caught a glimpse of her son and decided to keep herself alive. and so tom riddle grew up with a loving mother and did not follow the path he would have chosen without her. sadly, tom died at the age of twenty - one and even though he did not create the death eaters, there is still a band of dark wizards out there, looking to persecute muggles and cause trouble.

and so harry potter grew up with both of his parents, james potter and lily potter (evans) and he became the spitting image and personality of his father. harry is well known at school for his mischeif making of course, his arrogant attitude and his love for attention from the ladies. he's a totally different person to what he could have been if he didn't have his parents or his godfather sirius black. sirius is most definatley a bad influence, he has had thre failed marriaged and somehow ended up with a nice sum of money from them and half the family heirloom. sirius spoils harry rotten and provides him with anything he wants from cigarettes and alcohol to chocolate ... unbeknownst to lily and james of course.

ron weasley still ended up sitting in harry potter's compartment on the hogwart's express and the two of them are best friends, naturally. partners in crime, they both do whatever they can to pull pranks and their favourite subjects are severus snape and the slytherins but also hermione granger. yes, hermione hates those two boys (probably the only non-slytherin to dislike them so much), just as much as she hates not recieving top marks on her homeworks and i think it's safe to say that the feeling is quite mutual, harry and ron think hermione is and always will be a bossy know - it - all.

life doesn't get much harder for severus snape. he has to stand by and watch the love of his life be with his childhood bully and teach thair arrogant son who is intent on causing as much trouble as he possibly can. severus snape is of course still in love with lily evans and although the two of them are still friends and meet quite regularly (without james potter knowing, he still hates snape's guts and vice versa) lily has made it clear that she is with james now, but with the latter becoming more and more wrapped up in his job, she will turn to severus for a shoulder to cry on...

remus lupin (defence against the dark arts teacher at hogwarts) and nymphadora tonks are an item. they have been for quite some time now, though remus doesn't seem to be making any advances when it comes to a marriage proposal and dora is getting quite worried. the problem is you see, is remus is terrified of commitment. he doesn't believe in true love, ever since his parents got divorced and he sees the mess that sirius is in and lily's past with severus snape. and so how will he react when he finds out that dora is pregnant?

bellatrix lestrange and her husband rudolphus are the leaders of the dark wizard, a group intent on persecuting muggles and stirring up trouble for the ministry of magic. however what they don't know is that there is currently a spy within their midst, someone who is reporting back to the auror office, divulging all of the dark sides' plans. how long will this spy be able to keep up their cover? and when they undoubtedly do slip up, they will be in deep trouble.
